"You" or "User" means the individual or entity accessing or using the Service.
"API Key" means the unique authentication credential issued to you to access the Service.
"Credits" means the usage units consumed by API calls, as described in the pricing documentation.
"Regulatory Data" means the structured regulatory information returned by the API.
By registering for an API key, making API calls, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
Your API key is personal to you and must not be shared, published, or embedded in publicly accessible code. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your API key. If you believe your key has been compromised, rotate it immediately from your dashboard and notify us at support@regintelapi.com.

Each successful API call deducts one credit from your balance. Requests that return 4xx or 5xx errors do not consume credits. Credits on paid plans never expire. Free plan credits do not expire.
Monthly subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis. One-time credit purchases are charged as a single transaction. All payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms of service.
We offer refunds within 7 days of purchase if you have consumed fewer than 10% of your purchased credits. Contact support@regintelapi.com to request a refund. Refunds are issued at our discretion for amounts consumed beyond this threshold.
RegIntel provides regulatory information for informational and reference purposes. While we make reasonable efforts to keep data accurate and current, regulatory information changes frequently and may contain errors or omissions.
The regulatory data provided through the Service does not constitute legal advice. You should not rely solely on RegIntel data for legal compliance decisions. You are responsible for independently verifying the accuracy and applicability of any regulatory information to your specific situation. We recommend consulting qualified legal counsel for compliance-critical decisions.
We target 99.9% monthly uptime for the API. Planned maintenance will be announced on our status page. Pro plan customers are entitled to a Service Level Agreement as described in their plan documentation. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including third-party infrastructure failures.
The Service, including all software, design, documentation, and underlying data curation methodology, is owned by RegIntel and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
The regulatory data returned by the API consists of public regulatory information. You retain all rights in applications and products you build using the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RegIntel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to compliance failures, business losses, or data inaccuracies. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RegIntel from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct we reasonably believe is harmful to other users or the Service. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your API key will be deactivated and unused credits will be forfeited.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
